Come To Utah, Land Of Diversity

Utah Mountains are plentiful and inspiring. The ranges are rugged and beautiful and offer a plethora of activity for the adventurous or just the casual weekend camper. We have friends who are avid rock climbers and find endless locations for their hobbies. I am a hiker and have yet to run out of places to hike within an hour or two of my house.

For longer hiking trips, Bryce, Zion and Moab offer endless possibilities. The aspens, the pine trees, the spruces, the mountain flowers all add the beauties and grandeur of the hikes. We live close to Mueller Park Canyon, it is about a seven mile round trip trail up and back to elephant rock, I try to do that at least once a week during the summer.

Nothing is as invigorating and uplifting as a hike in the mountains each week. I look forward to it all week. The gentle streams, the fallen logs, the friendly birds and lizards, the companionable people with their dogs that I pass coming and going add to the experience. Other lovers of nature out filling their beings with happiness and peace.

I love the deserts of Utah also, we take our ATV’s out and let the kids go wild. Unabandoned freedom for a 15 or 16 year old. I love the desert flowers, and warm days and cool nights. The best time to visit the desert is spring before it becomes too unbearably hot. It is a great get-away when Salt Lake is still covered in snow.

The red dirt and rocks of Southern Utah are my favorite Snow Canyon, Bryce, Zion, and Canyon Lands. Something in that red dirt speaks to me. There often is not a plant in sight, yet the rich reds stand alone perfectly. When there is green against the red the juxtaposition is beautiful.

Whatever vacation or day trip you love best, mountain, desert or red canyons, Utah offers something for every adventure or camper and Utah lodging has enough diversity to cover every need for that adventure. From rustic cabin lodges to four star resorts, Utah can accommodate your lodging needs and wants.

Homestead Resort (http://www.homesteadresort.com/) offers a charming alternative to traditional Park City Utah Lodging resorts.
