This is an American Land Grab for Today’s Economy

Part of looking for property is finding the best financing there is out in the market. A little bit ago I ran across a financing option that I had never seen before. It was offered by a company called American Land Grab.

What was unique and caught my eye was how easy and convenient it was to find, research, and purchase a piece of property. I went to a website, browsed through several different states, selected a piece of property I wanted to own and put it in my shopping cart.

Then at check out it was time to apply for financing. Here’s the kicker – I was pre-approved; everyone is! I could pay for the property all at once, or select monthly payments for a certain amount of time. For each piece of property listed I could see the total price, and what the monthly payment would be for two, three or four years. Like any other place that provides financing, I had to complete a vesting form and sign a contract.

I would have done the same thing at a bank. The difference is it took a few minutes rather than a few hours, or even a few days. I was then able to choose to have the payment automatically drafted from my account or to receive a monthly invoice in the mail.

Once I pay my loan off I will receive my deed, free and clear, a couple of weeks after the final payment. However, if I had decided to pay for the property all at once I could receive my deed within two weeks. This appeared to be much quicker than working with a bank or a Credit Union.

Maybe the next time you are out conducting a transaction at your local bank you can read the rules while you are standing in line and see how long transactions take on a property loan. Pull out one of the brochures and see how much information and time is required to purchase a piece of land. Sometimes knowing these details is the difference in the financial arena when you are thinking of making a purchase as significant as a piece of property.
