How To Raise Money With A Single Folding Table
Charitable fundraising may seem very daunting. Events get bigger every year and you may feel the need to compete with big shows, music events or sports days. These activities are great and can raise a lot of awareness for the charity, but they cost a lot to organise and have to make a huge turn over to actually raise any money for the charity. You can do your bit for charity with relative ease, minimal investment and great enjoyment.
During the summer holidays why not spend a day making cakes and biscuits with your children, neighbours, grandchildren or nieces and nephews and then sell them at the local park? You can kill two birds with one stone by providing a day full of constructive entertainment for the children and let’s be honest, yourself! All you really need is some cake mix, a kitchen, a cake tin and some cupcake papers, a sign and/or some literature about the charity you are fundraising for, the all important folding table and some change.
If you have some artistic flare then why not try your hand at facepainting? You could do this at the local play park or go along to any fairs which may be going on. All you need is some semi-decent face paint, your folding table, a couple of folding chairs, a mirror and a change float.
Do you need a bit of a clear out? If you have a clutter of ornaments, jewellery, toys or even just everyday household products which you do not need then why not have a tabletop sale? Do it American style in your front garden or go along to a fete or car boot sale. De-clutter and help your favourite charity in one go. It can be fun too.
A Christmas present wrapping service can be great for raising money and is relatively easy to do. So many people exhaust themselves running around the shops in the weeks leading up to Christmas trying to find the perfect gifts for their loved ones. They then have to face the prospect of getting the presents into their house, without being spotted by their partner or children, hiding those presents and then at some point wrapping them. By setting up a table and chair in the lobby of your work (with your employer’s permission) you can promote your charitable service and save people a great deal of hassle. They can leave the gifts with you at lunch time or the end of the day, you can take them home to wrap in the evening and then hand them over the next day, with a gift tag and a beautiful bow.
Be creative with what you have got and see how you can raise money and have fun. The portability of folding tables and chairs means that you can take this type of fundraising anywhere. Help people, have fun and do something new by fundraising on a small scale.
