Top Trends Of 2011

This year the cat walk has gone wild with fantastic trends fabrics and styles and there has never been a better time to experiment with the exciting off-the-catwalk trends for 2011. This Year Womens fashion has something for everyone:

Soft chiffons – Inspired by the box-office hit Black Swan, this light and delicate material drapes and caresses the feminine silhouette and incorporates playful textures. Invest in a nude-toned flouncy cover up chiffon blouse and pair with tailored trousers; or instead choose a maxi dress or tunic to create a more feminine look. To accessorise opt for patent finishes such and shoes and bag to add a polished effect to your styling; this will also highlight the different textures in your outfit and really make the chiffon look ultra-luxurious. You can either choose to work bright colours or nude colours when it comes to chiffons both look great, but never wear together the clash of colours will spoil the look and instead of contemporary you will end up with trashy.

Nude – This trend is huge this season, and tackles the common dilemma of matching colours with each other. Team outfits with nude peep-toe heels – a trend that has been incredibly popular over the last few seasons and is set to stay – offering the illusion of elongated legs.

1970s-inspired pastels and jewel toned block colours
Bold blues and vibrant oranges are amongst some of the key colours of the season. Any shade or tone can make this daring look, the key is to clash. So if you’re going to go with bold colours this season, go bold and make a statement with block colour in clashing tones- try not to team with black as this will kill the look.

White – Opt for white cutwork, lace designs and embellishments teamed with gold jewellery to achieve that ultimate spring summer look. The trick to this style is to keep your whites simple and let your accessories do the talking – think bags, belts, jewellery and shoes.

The skinny belt – The skinny belt is one of this season’s must-have accessories. Great for almost any outfit, the skinny belt creates a chic look and is set to become the biggest thing in women’s accessories over the next few months.

Animal print – Embrace your wild side with animal prints – think maxi dresses, jumpsuits, and harem pants. In contrast to last year’s sophisticated take on animal prints, 2011 is all about being daring and playful. Just be sure not to mix different prints.
